The celebration features the World Peace Flag Ceremony, a colorful procession of the world’s flags carried by members of the Chicago Consular Corps, representatives of ethnic and cultural institutions, students and volunteers. Voices will fill the Plaza as everyone joins in sending wishes, thoughts or prayers for peace to each country of the world. Remarks will be given by some of Chicago’s prominent peace builders. Cultural performances of music and dance will round out the celebration.

Be sure to visit the east lobby of the Daley Center to view the Build the Peace Exhibit, Sept. 9-20 from 9:00 am – 5:00 pm.
