41st Anniversary of Peace Day in Chicago

Monday, September 23, 2019

Noon to 1 pm

Daley Plaza, 50 West Washington Street, Chicago

Stand together with us on September 23rd for the observance of One Minute of Silence for Peace. Together, we’ll send peace to the world during the Call to Peace and World Peace Flag Ceremony, a moving procession of the world’s flags carried by members of the Chicago Consular Corps, representatives of ethnic and cultural institutions, students and volunteers. Lend your voice to the Call as everyone on the Plaza proclaims aloud, “Peace in [each country, from Afghanistan to Zimbabwe]” while each flag is beautifully presented on stage.  Join us on Sept. 23rd and be part of this unforgettable experience of peace that will include:

    • Interactive Call to Peace & World Peace Flag Ceremony
    • Remarks by local peacebuilders
  • Live music and cultural performances
