Experience an uplifting and energizing celebration in conjunction with the worldwide observance of the United Nations International Day of Peace.

  • World Peace Flag Ceremony and Interactive Call to Peace.
  • Live world music by Stitely Entertainment and vocalist Bruce A. Henry.
  • Cultural dance performances by Ensemble Español Spanish Dance Theater and Korean Performing Arts Institute of Chicago.
  • One Minute of Silence for World Peace with Native American Flute Player William Buchholtz.
  • Remarks on peace by local leaders including Director Jim Bennett of Illinois Department of Human Rights, Cook County Board President Toni Preckwinkle, Commissioner Nancy Andrade of Chicago Commission on Human Relations, CEO Pedro Martinez of Chicago Public Schools and more.
  • Peacebuilding, cultural and community organizations on hand for networking opportunities.
